Conquest History - April 14, 2006
As you might have guessed I have grown lax about taking new photos. Anyway, Zack came to Kingston this time to help me with some important repairs. He arrived on the evening of the 12th and we set straight to work. Before dark we were able to remove my old clogged radiator. The following day we installed a new aftermarket unit obtained for a reasonable price from Parts Train. The only difficulties were getting it around the flex fan, and the square bottom of the radiator which prevented it from sitting properly. Some manhandling of the lower bracket took care of this. Zack then took care of my front brakes in short order. He installed new slotted and drilled rotors from Race Concepts, and Wagner Thermo-Quiet pads. We also replaced my broken grille and a side lamp bulb. Afterwards we had a pleasant meal at a local diner.
Finally, on the 14th we replaced my negative battery cable and installed a front license plate mount. The engine is now adequately cooled and the brakes feel very good.
